Christmas extends to January

I have just not been into blogging lately.  I decided not to take the Jet Blue job and have just been home with Scarlet all day every day and I just get so wrapped up in being a mommy/housekeeper/wife/cook.  Skyler hasn't had school for a month and I'm dreading when Monday comes around and I go back to seeing him for only an hour or 2 each day.

The week before Christmas we had a Christmas party with Sky's family up at his sister Fallan's home.

3 of sky's 5 siblings.

Then the next week was Christmas eve.  Every Christmas eve there is a big party at my dad's home.  This is my favorite meal of the YEAR! All finger foods.  A few of my siblings were out of town so the party was a little smaller than we were used to.

we walked in and Scar went straight for the pile of presents.
When we got home we opened our Christmas Pajamas and watched the Muppet Christmas Carol with our mugs of Pumpkin Spice hot cocoa.  Does Christmas eve get better than this?

This was one of the only pics we got Christmas morning.  Our tree looks dead because it is, absolutely dead.

Scarlet was really confused as to what was going on.  She skeptically walked over to her bike.  We talked her into trying it out while we pushed her around the kitchen.  Then she walked over to the stroller, picked up the baby and threw it on the ground and then proceeded to push the stroller all around the house.  We have since had to convince her that the baby is supposed to be in the stroller

After a while and after some breakfast (mostly because scar was obsessed with her stroller and bike) we began opening presents.  Scar got impatient with the wrapping paper once she realized there were toys underneath it.

Since it was such a beautiful (not Christmassy) day, we went on a walk to try out the new ride.

this trike is pretty much the coolest thing.  It grows with the baby.  You can take off the stroller part and the safety bars on the side.  Scar loves it.

We spent the day just our little family all day.  I even made a Ham Christmas dinner all my myself with home made crock pot hot chocolate which was to DIE FOR.  This was probably the happiest Christmas surprise the Mr got.

We both agreed that this was the best Christmas we have ever had.  Mostly because I think because we had so much food all day  :)

Yum! I forgot to ask how your ham turned out :D I think Christmas at home with no distractions is the best thing ever. I hope maybe next year I will do that.
P.S. Scars trike is the bomb. :)
