I have always struggled really being grateful for the things I have. I think this was because honestly I never ever went without when I was younger. I was a lucky kid and my dad worked hard to make sure I had everything I could possibly want. Things came so easily that I never took the time to realize how truly grateful I should have been for all I had.
I still catch myself not appreciating all I have been given. I look at my life and it truly is so blessed and yet I catch myself wishing for other things to happen. This is something I'm working on! Happiness truly is a result of gratitude! I know this and am trying so hard to apply it to my life! So, without anymore rambling, here's a simple list of random things I am grateful for:
A beautiful healthy family.
Diet Dr. Pepper
My sisters and sister in laws.
The job I just got working from home for Jet Blue Airlines (doesn't start until December 27)
amazing friends who, even when I tend to get anti social, are always there for me!
the moments when i realize that i'm doing OK at this mothering thing.
Scar's kisses & snuggles
a husband in school (love-hate thing)
my nieces and nephews who are some of my best friends
Skyler's days off
The Hunger Games being made into what looks to be a pretty awesome movie!!!

that glorious happy time in between scar first waking up and her getting tired again.

i am grateful for the 'hakiami' (trying to quote brandon hah) family and the amazing friends you have been to us! i am grateful you guys came all the way to salt lake to be with us on the worst night of our entire lives when you really didn't have to, and for being there just days after to let us come into your home and be able to laugh and know that life would be ok. i am grateful for sky for doing a super hard job of speaking at aarons memorial and doing so grate at it. I'm grateful that we were there at the beginning of your wonderful loveship and that the blind date i was trying to set sky up on for that night completely fell through (THANK GOODNESS!!!)! :) I am grateful i have a beautiful little family that loves to let me try new locations/things out when i need to with my photography. i'm grateful you in return like to feed our already fat faces to make them fatter :). i am truly grateful that brandon didn't really die even though skyler thought he was funny and told me he did on the tape that one time when they were in russia. i'm grateful that brandon and sky became good friends on the mish so that we can now be good friends all together!i am grateful sky enjoys/enjoyed singing avril lavigne in the shower so brandon could record it on tape and in return give me a pretty good laugh at one point in time. i am grateful for scar face and the cutie pie that she is. i am grateful that we have amazing friends like you.

oh, and one more thing. i'm grateful that anytime we ask ashlynn who her best friend is, she usually answers scarlet, because its just so stinkin adorable!
