all hallows eve

Most of our weekend was dedicated to celebrating Halloween.

We went to the Loveland Gal's halloween bash which was a couple's only party.
we went as old school vampires and ate and danced our little hearts out.
skyler was kind enough to let me even put makeup on him.
Have you ever put eyeliner and eyeshadow on your husband? It's one of those moments you'll cherish...like forever.

The next day we did another spooky dinner.  It was even better and I was in charge of the desserts so I made owl cupcakes, spider cakes, and witch hat cookies (thank you pinterest!)...sadly i didn't have time to get pictures. But I have quite a few witnesses that will testify that I really did make them...promise!

On Halloween the Mister had to work until 7:30.  Knowing that our teeny one wasn't going to want to go trick or treating that late we decided that Skyler would take his break from work and go with us for the trick or treating at the mall.  On the way down to the mall miss Scarlet and I stopped by her Papa's house to trick or treat.  We ran into a few other characters there.

We picked Skyler up from work and it was off to the mall trick or treat extravaganza!

Scarlet was a riot as soon as she figured out what was going on.
We couldn't stop filming her.

Scar would not let anyone touch her candy bag the rest of the night!  It was quite an ordeal getting it away from her for bath time.  She lasted all of 1 minute in the tub, screaming the whole time.

After Scar was fast asleep my niece Jordan and her boyfriend Jace (they're the best!) came over to babysit and we went with Morgan and Chantelle to the Haunted Circus.

sorry crappy picture

I feel like I celebrated Halloween to the fullest
and am now all "halloweened" out.
Bring on Thanksgiving and Christmas!
