getting older doesn't have to be bad

I had a birthday yesterday. And it was pretty fabulous.

Most of the time I am not a fan of my birthday. I just am kind of an awkward soul and don't know what to do with all the birthday attention.

But this birthday Skyler made the day for him and me.

We started our day at the Mount Timpanogos Temple and going out to breakfast.

We also went 4-wheeling complete with picnic!

That night Sky had arranged for another babysitter for Scar. But since we had left her all day and I wanted her in on the birthday celebrations I decided I wanted to skip going out to a movie and just take her with us to dinner...I wasn't thinking.

We thought if we got her enough to do and eat she would be our little angel. Nope. Miss Scarlet has decided she no longer likes to have to sit in any place for more than about 2.5 seconds. So, after noodles, crayons, and water everywhere around our table and making our table neighbor laugh hysterically about our "adorable" 1 year old, we left the restaurant. (we tipped the waitress extra to help cover the clean-up of our table area)

We got home, put the naughty thing to bed, and cuddled up to watch Thor with my new minky blanket that sky gave me.
