Sky's Anniversary Present

The above video is something I created for Sky. We decided not to do anniversary presents to each other so we could spend the money on our little getaway. Instead I created a little video of our first year. Well I actually recreated our whole wedding video but i'm just posting the part of our first year...and for my present Sky got me Bajio gift certificates. YUM!

Our anniversary trip was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! It was a much needed break for both of us. We can't believe it's been a year. We can't wait to make this year just as good if not better than the last!

I love my Skyler...Oh so much!

This Sunday (October 25) is mine and Sky's 1st anniversary. We are leaving after work today to spend the week in Park City and I can't wait!!!

For our annivesary I want to create a list of things I love about Skyler and our life together. Caution: Content of this post is oh so sappy.

Skyler can make me laugh so hard.
He has made me the happiest I have ever been!!

He is my best friend, he's the first one i want to talk to when i'm feeling excited, sad, happy, emotional, or angry..

Sometimes I hate that he has to fall asleep at night because I just want to lay there and talk to him all night.
I love knowing I’ll be with my best friend FOREVER!
I cannot wait for the years we have ahead of us.

He makes me feel more loved than I’ve ever felt in my life.
He knows how to handle my roller coaster of emotions
He knows exactly just what to do or say to make my day.
I sometimes still get butterflies thinking about him.

He tells me i'm so cute when i know i'm being a huge dork.

We are entertained by the dumbest things.

He and I make great music videos in the car....

I am married to one of the most incredible men i've ever known and I don't feel like I deserve him sometimes. I love him more every day we are together. I feel like I really started a new life and in some ways became a new person when Skyler and I became friends. From the moment we first met Sky and I have been best friends. I have never had to pretend to be anyone different. Sky knows me better than anyone ever has and he still loves me for it.

I could go on and on but I already feel like i'm being too sappy.

The Geetar

I took this yesterday when our niece Avery came down to visit. She loves Sky's guitars. The first thing she usually does when she comes downstairs is go to the guitars. (Ang you may have to think about putting her into guitar lessons when she's older) Yesterday she watched sky play then took the pic from his hands and started strumming herself. Everytime we would try to get the guitar pic back she would get this HUGE frowny face and just look at us...so we had to give it back.

odds n' ends

Just a few odds and ends thing have been going on lately. It was my Grandpa Anderson's 90th birthday this week. SO last minute, my parents decided to fly him out from Florida to have an Anderson family reunion. I was able to see my grandpa but I didn't end up going to the reunion cause we had a trip down South (Annabella). My contribution to the family reunion though was to use my mad video editing skills and create a video of all my grandpa's kids and their children. Considering I only had a couple days I think the video turned out OK.

Then Saturday morning we made the trip down South. The most eventful part of the trip was when we went fishing and Zach hooked Skyler in the ear. It got him pretty good. I will have to steal a picture from Heather to show. Skyler kept trying to get someone to take it out. But I told him I just wanted to take him to the Hospital. He was just really annoyed with having a fishing lure hanging from his ear. After Heather tried to get it out she said it was too swollen to even move the hook so I won and we went to the hospital. When we got to the hospital the lady at the admissions desk was kind of laughing. Saying they see this all the time but Skyler was the first one they've seen with it in the ear. The dr gave sky a numbing shot and cut pieces of the hook off so he could work it out of the ear. Then Sky got a really kickin Scooby Doo bandaid. (he is still wearing it because of the attention it's getting him).

When we got back, we got to hear the cutest story about my niece Avery. So, as many of you know we have moved into my sister Ang's basement. She has 2 of the cutest girls in the world, Dani (Age 4) and Avery (18 months). Well my brother in law was bathing Avery and heard her start saying "SkyYer (Skyler) slide!" He peaked in to see what she was talking about and saw that she had her little Go! Diego Go! doll and was calling him Skyler. Now even if you hold up Diego and ask her who it is she'll say "SkyYer!". It is the cutest thing and still keeps us laughing about it.

We got to babysit the girls last night. Skyler was working on his computer most of the night so Avery kept coming over and moving his hands so she could sit on his lap. I had to take a picture.

Isn't my husband just the Bee's Knees??? *sigh, i'm so lucky :D
